I take 600 mgs at night to sleep along with Sonata (20 mgs). I can also use it during the day when I get really anxious but I don't like the "Duh" feeling I get from it. I'm also on Abilfy and lamictal for the same purpose...to chill out. It does get me into a 'stooper' but my moods have been pretty stable for quite a long time now. My doc put me on buspar as well but we stopped that and it made no difference in how i felt. He won't rx any benzo's so I'm wondering what to do....he wants me to go off the abilify and see what happens cuz he thinks i'm over-medicated. Any thoughts about this? I think I'd like to just stay as things are cuz if I take away one med, I don't know what will happen. Relapse perhaps? Any serious answers are very appreciated in this matter....thanks!

Should i be happy with who i am?

Im 19, male, and in a respectable college. We are all products of our environment and I am no exception. My past includes abuses form a psychologist, a doctor who proscribed experimental medicine for anti personality disorders which totally screwed me up, and parents who were unable to trust me because they thought i was nuts. Obviously this is over simplified and quite a bit more happened enough to fill much more space than yahoo gives me. Both parents have given me genes that have intensified said ability and amplified it to a level i have yet to see in another person. Much like in a child abuse case i'm now able to read everyone around me almost without fault. I'm a high self monitor and choose to constantly keep everyone around me happy. It's almost like a compulsion. I just do it subconsciously. There is not a person i can't charm or work with. I'm an unparalleled arguer but I never use the ability because i see every argument coming and change events so it never comes to that. They all love me and they have a copious tendency to confide in me and talk to me about their troubles. I've been good friends with 5 people sense 2nd grade (i moved in 2nd grade but still cross 800 miles to see more than one friend from where i used to live) and still hang out with them including many new friends. The problem is that i have formed a wall of good will around me and i'm afraid i may be standing still. No one knows anything about my past and i have only in the last 3 months hinted there may be more to who i am than what i let them see. My closest friends are all smart and r going to be doctors and professors but they are not nearly smart enough to figure out who i am. I'm very smart (i'm just going to ume everyone is going to think im conceited so ill at least half prove my IQ) my dads a chemical engineer who for all intense and purposes has a Ph.d. My mom went to northwestern but choose to be a house wife instead of pursuing her career. I've taken an IQ test but it was void however i did score perfectly on the short term memory and verbal sections. I joined my schools chess team for one year and with no out side studying beside when the chess team meet (once a year) i came in 3rd in my conference(population of the conference was about 60,000). I also don't trust anyone no matter what. i have had to doge more than one romantic relationship because i realize i'm giving that person a chance to hurt me. I hate all of my friends too. I see most if not all of their faults and i see how to break them. i see their umptions i know what their thinking (a bit hypocritical i know). i can finnish most of their sentences anytime i want. I always act the same and never ever get mad. I just don't have bad days. In the past i have always umed that i was a good guy because the people around me always came first and i'd make them happy. Now i think it might just be a defense mechanism and they really don't matter to me. so i guess my question is would u want to be friends with me, do my friends deserve to know my past if i already know everything about them, and should i try to change who i am? Any impressions would be nice however i'm not really looking for an ego boost so i would be more appreciative of criticism. Why do I have panic attacks and such bad paranoia?

I'm only 14, and since I was in fifth grade, I've had this insane paranoia. I worry about getting stuck in elevators, railroad tracks, and have all these stupid fears. For about a year, I never slept over at anybody's house due to my fear of abandonment. I've recovered from that fear, but it was pretty bad. I wouldn't even go to camp, and hated school. Currently, I'm terrified of elevators, I sit there with a look of a scared shaking chihuahua on my face while in one, and would rather take the stairs. Staying home alone doesn't bother me, and I really have no other extreme fears. I've been getting panic attacks since about 4th grade, when I complained about not being able to breathe, and then my dad had to calm me down, but nothing was happening. I get them maybe once every two months, but i got two last month - but that was because my close grandmother ped away. So, what's wrong with me? Should I go take medication?

What to do when my girlfirend doesn't want me to farm?

SO Ive been dating this girl for a little over two years. These two years I have been going to school for Civil Engineering (about 1.5 years left). She already is working full time in the medical field, a great job, but not quite enough to support us both. We have our whole little life planed out;graduation, job, house, marriage... the usual; but all dependant on my education. I really love her and her whole family and have no objections to the life we have planned, EXCEPT: I recenlty got an internship in Civil Engineering and hate it. So I started looking for something else. My grades dropped and now I'm behind a little in school becuase I have lost interest in anything to do with engineering, which really frustrates her. She keeps stressing that she will not wait forever to move on with her life. I have always wanted to be a farmer, having grown up on a dairy farm. My grandpa sold his cows (I was 10) when the EPA decided 100 years of manure was too much.... SO now I found a way to get into dairy farming again. I knew my grilfriend would be less than thrilled about it (working 24/7/365, the stink) but I figured if she really loves and respects me she'll go along with it. After all, it'll be my (and my cousin's; who will be my partner) job and not hers. I know farming is a way of life, and its the life I want, and always have wanted.. I just don't think she knows what its all about. She was never raised on a farm. I brok the news to ehr last nigth that I wanted to talk to her about the situation (how I can possibly start farming) and she flipped out. Didn't let me get a word in edgewise. Like is it normal to have a deep hatred towards your parents when you're young? Like I think I'm justified to hate them. My mom left when I was two and my dad would have been a better parent for giving me to a foster home than keeping me to live with his alcoholic mistress. Also my dad has major depression / anger problems and is always short. I would be better off killing him than letting him sulk in his misery wouldn't I? He has told me many time that it was because of me and my brother that he has all his problems. I know that is bullshit but it makes me even angrier because my brother is severely depressed and has tried to commit suicide several times and he still has the nerve to say that. What could kill a fish other than water problems or temperature?

Recently my little clown fish disappeared. I had a pair, a large one about 5 years old and little one about 2 or 3 years old. I've had them for two years and they've been through a lot, including a three hour move to a new home. I have excellent filtration and tested all of my water levels and they are perfect. Recent additions to the tank have been a peppermint shrimp, serpent star and a royal gamma. I haven't seen the royal gamma picking on my little fish. I'm uming my little clown has died but I have no idea of what! The only major changes in the tank other than the new additions was that my last light fixture blew out so I had to order a new one and they were without a light for about 2 weeks. They've been longer than that without light when they were being kept by my dad until I could move them here and he didn't take care of them very well. They survived that, what could have killed him? i've been using pure ammonia to cycle my tank and i got the ammonia to about 3ppm. I tested for nitrites and the readings are 0ppm. I have a 20 gallon tank and add 10 drops of ammonia every night. Some people say continue adding this amount until u see a nitrite spike and some say don't add anymore ammonia when it gets to 3-4ppm and let it drop to 0ppm then cut the amount of drops of ammonia in half to get a nitrite spike. OMG Im so confused who do i listen to! Why do i worry so much about everything?

I had to have the internal ultrasound but don't worry its so small its like the width of 2 fingers. they found 2 cysts on my ovary, and I was in a ton of pain, I couldn't get out of bed for 2 weeks, I also had to have a bladder scope for the burning while peeing, which hurt much more. then i took antibiotics for almost a month and finally im back to normal. most likely it is a cyst. make sure you eat yogurt to help regrow the good bacteria antibiotics take away, and rest as much as possible. My son was 4 months or so when he started caughing for attention. I wouldn't just leave him be and he would HAVE to caugh for attention.. I would be cleaning or something while he was playing and then he might get whimpery and start caughing and I would go get him and say "why you fake coughin!? You want mommy's attention? You got it!" He still does that sometimes, he's just about 6 months.

My croton has lost all of its leaves!?

Hi, i hada croton i got on sale from Walmart and it was beautiful when i first got it. Then the leaves started falling off, and one of the three plants in the pot died. I thought i was overwatering so I cut back, put it in a 12 inch terra cotta pot, and nothing. Then I noticed the spider mites. I sprayed and sprayed the plant a number of times and got rid of them. But now, about a month later, all the leaves are still gone. The plant itself is still alive (i've scd back some of the bark with my finger nail) and the stalks still look plump. What can i do to bring it back?

Is the tank in direct sunlight? That will make the tank green really fast. Algae is a plant and that sunlight makes it grow and bloom out like crazy. Try putting it in a dark corner of the room and don't leave the light on too long. Algae eaters may be gross to you but they work wonders on a tank. Just make sure its one of the small ones and not a plecostomus. They eat their weigh and more and they never quit working! If you are really against the algae eater, you can try a few of the larger snails instead...they just don't do as good of a job. And make sure you have the right size filter for your tank and try a bit of aquarium salt. Just follow the directions. Good luck!

The problem you're experiencing with her is more than likely due only to being grained too heavily and not worked. She's got pent-up energy and wants to do something with it. You have to remember, too, that she was trained to run and probably enjoys it. I've had a few OT horses, TBs and Arabs, and most liked a good flat-out run every so often. I'd take them out to an open area a couple times a week and let them have a gallop after I warmed them up. They enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, and it cut down a lot on the sort of 'prancy' behavior and trouble getting them slowed out of a canter you're describing. Call center employees: need advice regarding work situation?

I have been working a new call center job for about 2 months now and I've been volunteering time off the past 3 days due to it being really slow. We have what is known as unavailable time (or aux 9 time) where you are able to use 55 seconds per each hour you work for bathroom break/ breather between calls. I've been using the full 8 minutes of this time within my first 4 hours of working each day and then getting sent home early about halfway thru my shift so I end up using too much for the day but I didn't know how this would affect my occupancy or even if it would. how should I explain my lack of thought on this to my supervisor when he talks to me about it next week? I have a feeling that older people are somehow different in the current times than they used to be in earlier generations. I remember my grandmother - how she was with me and my mother. My puppy is fine when we're not home but...?

whines when we ARE home but not in his sight!!! we have a 15 week of apoo who is nearly housebroken. He is completely fine sleeping alone at night (he sleeps downstairs) and he's totally fine when we go to work in the morning. We have a dog walker that comes to let him out and walk him in the middle of the day. When we get home, and leave him in the living room to go to the kitchen that's when the whining and the crying starts!!!! It's as if we are home, we can't ever not be right next to him. We take him for a walk at night (at least 30 minutes), we play fetch, we give him affection, we train so I don't think he is suffering from separation anxiety. When he's left alone, he deosnt destory the house, he doesnt make accidents (if he has to go, he goes on the pee pad), i just don't know why he whines so much when we are home with him but not in his sight. Why is my freshwater tank cloudy?

I have a 29 gallon tank that has been set up for 6 months. I have have several problems with the tank but for the past 3 months the water was clear and everything was great. All of the sudden the water became cloudy. First let me say that the tank sits in front of a window bit I never open the blinds and I keep the curtains closed behind it. I have tested the water and it is running at perfect levels. Over the past several weeks I have done 20% water changes two times a week to help resolve the problem. Now as far as the water goes, not all of the water is cloudy at once. It looks like fog floating through the water. I have noticed an increasing amount of algae in the tank. In the morning after the light has been off all night the water looks really cloudy but after a few hours with the light on the water clears up some and is not as bad. I have been told that algae is water born and looks white and cloudy then turns green. Could this be the culprit? I do know that this tank is more susceptible to temperature shifts because it is in front of a window. I do know that light causes algae growth however no light gets to the tank through this window. If you have any input for me that would be appreciated! Thank you for your time and help.

Unplugged mean the computer cannot realize that the network cable is plugged in. You may have to go into the router's setu to make sure it's broadcasting. In a comand prompt type ipconfig /all. Then write down the numbers for the gateway. Then in internet explorer put that number in as the address. It should bring you to the interface for the router. There you can reconfigure it.

What should i do for my thoroughbred's feet/legs?

I got him about two months ago and he was perfectly fine. We put him in the pasture and his shoes fell off soon after. About a week later he started looking funny on his front feet, like it was hurting to walk even two steps. I took him to the vet to get him checked for lameness, tenderness, etc. The vet checked all four legs and feet and found nothing other than the two front feet were extremly sore. My husband and I are going to be flying from TX to NJ. We will have our 10 month old son with us. Our first flight is not that long. It is maybe an hour and a half long. Our second flight is longer. ok well if you read my other stories you would know the whole deal, but essentially my long distance gf found someone else while we were on a break. just as i was trying to move on she has been on a rampage and been really mean all of which i didnt respond to. she claimed she was preganant and had an abortion (she told me this when she thought i was hooking up with another girl) so i'm not sure if its true, because she never was trying to tell me while i ignored her. all she did was say really mean spiteful things. like she left me so why bring this out anymore? i was a good boyfriend i think, so why is she doing this to me? like im not a bad guy. it hurts to know that just a few months ago we were saying that we wanted to get married and all that. and now were at this level. my friends think shes doing this because she feels bad for what shes done and knows she lost a good guy and guy she still is in love with. she used to tell me that this guy is exactly like me, so my friends thinks hes just a rebound and shes starting tor realize that. and that this is just her way of making herself feel better, by making me out to be an ******* in her mind. please i need some advice, i want the hurting to stop but i dont want to do it through cutting her out. i want to make some kind of friendship. i think i should just leave it and wait for the anger to go away, then maybe itll be better. help?

I have heared some say the rv couple were ghosts through out the movie but after watching it a few times here is how I see it. At the end of the movie you see them bury a body then shortly after get killed. I think that they were burying the girl's boyfriend not the "Trucker".Since the "Trucker" was clearly not from this world he couldn't have been dead. How do I stop dwelling on the afterlife?

I can't stop thinking about it. Day after day, I contemplate what happens when we die. Or what doesn't happen. I don't believe in heaven or hell, but I just can't fathom not existing. How can that be? I know it's forever unknown but I just can't stop thinking about it. I keep wondering what I should do in this life, if there is an afterlife, so that I can be happy in the afterlife if it exists. It's horrible---I can't seem to stop wondering if anything happens when we die. Please no christian answers about hell or heaven---I don't believe in that, as I said before. It may sound crazy but it is not because im afraid or anything but usually every time some one gets hurt or i see some one hurt i imagine it as if it was me but not see me physically. its as if i can see it happening. i see the damage being done from the inside. its not that i feel it but understand how it hurts and can feel my nerves from where ever it is i imagine it hurt tingle. I get goosebumps right after. for example when i went to the hospital because my uncle was getting heart surgery and when i saw all those scars left on him i can see it happening through a many views and also as if it was me getting the surgery. while i was walking around the hospital to calm down reading all these a R.I.P to people who died and seeing all these rooms with people in them i felt the pain and my head went crazy just imagining all the the pain and all surgeries that have and were accruing at that time. i can also see things rewind but im not sure. I can control this but i like doing it because i like experiencing it and learning from it. I guess its just that i have a big imagination because when i was a boy and still now i can look at objects and imagine how it was made kinda crazy but i think its awesome.

you're not the only one to declaw their cat. if i ever get another cat, i would seriouly consider it, even though it is extreme. the clawing is what is keeping me from getting another cat, i finally have the perfect curtains!!!! but if you can't have the cat with the claws, you dont always have a choice. i do think it is sort of mean and causes them unnecessary pain, but I can't judge, I dont know what i would do in the same situation,.
