Is a photographer a good paying job?

I took a photo ( im 13) of my new puppy Lexi and entered a contest and got 3rd and 50$. So im thinking I'm a good photographer but was wondering if that would be a good paying job? Also I might want to be a designer or an actress. But Isn't it really hard to become an actress and make a living?
