Ubuntu linux at best buy?
I have been using linux for a while now. maybe a year and a half if not more. i used ubuntu, mint, fedora, opensuse, mandriva and currently pclinuxos(that i stuck with). Being the fact that linux is free, how do you view the fact that it is being sold for 20$ at best buy? at first i thought it was a great idea, but it got me thinking. WHat would Joe say if he payed for it then later on discovered that it is actually a free OS distributed across the web? I know support is included and its the support's price. But shouldnt they release a free copy with no support and as an additional package you can get the support? or is the 20$ price tag really will get people's attention? Because people usually think that cheap software = bad/ unsupported software !! how about an increase in price lets say 80$ with a year worth of support! just an opinion what do you think?
