Why does the USAF hold itself so high?

I'm tired of people bashing on different services of our military. Each branch has a specific role, and by God they do it the best that anyone possibly can. Just because they don't see as much combat as say the Marines (which they shouldn't, because that's NOT their specific purpose. The Marine Corps purpose is to be a ready in force), doesn't make the Marines any better. Each service depends upon the other, without one it wouldn't be the same powerful military as we see today.
