Cat Declawing?

you're not the only one to declaw their cat. if i ever get another cat, i would seriouly consider it, even though it is extreme. the clawing is what is keeping me from getting another cat, i finally have the perfect curtains!!!! but if you can't have the cat with the claws, you dont always have a choice. i do think it is sort of mean and causes them unnecessary pain, but I can't judge, I dont know what i would do in the same situation,.
