Should we recognize the importance of dogfighting in American history?

Slavery was once part of american history too, but thank God we put that way behind us. Dog fighting as with fighting is animal cruelty and should not be allowed. Anyone that gets enjoyment watching two animals trying to kill the other is a sick person.
